Witch of the West Black Rainbow Quartz

These black rainbow crystals are covered in a dark mineral coating—and it’s from that deep shade that the rainbows appeared. Interestingly, against a dark backdrop, these colors become even more vivid—sometimes easier to see than in clear quartz.

How do rainbows form in the dark—like in these hematite coated crystals?

As sunlight bounces off spindle-shaped hematite nano-crystals, the waves of light reflect and overlap revealing a rainbow of vivid colour, which is displayed so vividly against the deep tone of the hematite. This harmony of crystal form and light creates a natural prism.

The green witch that peeks out at you from the narrow key carved face at the tip of the crystal has magic to share with one who is not intimidated by her witchy-ness. One who knows her. Who knows exactly why she’s come to journey with her.

The Witch of the West Black Rainbow Quartz Crystal is approx. 1-1/2” x 1/2”

She is small but potent.
